The Book - The Man Who Loved The Truth.

To work something out involves time

The early disciples enjoyed seeing many new believers join them. Here is an account in the book of Acts: They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved." ( Acts 2:46-47 ) Being saved are the key words. The word being means not yet attained.
The very same point is made in this next scripture: " For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." ( 1 Co 1:18 )
The Apostle Peter, also, agrees with these words: Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation." ( 1 Pe 2:2 )
Growing is a time factor-the reward comes in time.
The Apostle Paul shows in this next passage that salvation is conditional: "Now brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you, otherwise you have believed in vain."  ( 1 Co 15:1-2 )
