The Book - The Man Who Loved The Truth.

Millions are seeking miracles from the Holy Spirit today, who have no faith in his word

There are hundreds of verses on obedience in the Bible, but are they read from the pulpit with an urgent regularity? What and frighten the regulars away? Not on your life.
The Apostle John paints a true picture in the following statement: " We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says " I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar and the truth is noy in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. ( 1 John 1:3-5 )
We must not run away with the idea that because a person makes a declaration of intent, that in itself proves reliability. People dont always do the things they say they will do, even those with the best intentions.  Words are easy to say and in reality mean nothing if not followed by the appropriate reaction.
Remember the words of Jesus again: " Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom., but only he who does the Will of my Father..." Lip service alone will get no one eternal life.
Millions have been saying Lord, Lord for thousands of years.
It has long been assumed in the mainstream churches that once saved always saved. In other words once you have repented and accepted the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, and asked Jesus to take over your life, then you are saved and the position is unchangeable. You could be quite young when this happens which then guarantees you freedom from any kind of worry regarding salvation for the rest of your life. Another wonderful asset would be that the devil would not be able to target you in any way - you would be untouchable.
All very nice but not true according to God's Word the Bible.  Let's examine the evidence. These are the words of Jesus found in three different chapters " All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved." ( Mat 24:13, 10:22  Mark 13:13 )
This means the end of your life, You must stand firm until the end of your life, when you will be judged. To stand firm means you will be a target of satan and his demons and you will find it necessary to put on the whole armour of God to make it.
The words of Paul to the Ephesians: "Put on the full armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but... against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil...so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground... Stand firm then with belt of truth buckled round your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace...take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God...be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I declare it fearlessly, as I should. ( Eph 6:10-20 )
