Doing Gods Will

First of all let us consider what God's Will is. His Will can be seen in his Creation. Everything that he has made. The Sun, the Moon, the Stars. The Earth and everything that grows. All human and animal life. His Will is seen in Biblical history-his dealings with the nation of Israel. His new covenant through Jesus Christ and the church age. His many fulfilled prophecies. His commands, judgments, laws, decrees, statutes, precepts, patience, mercy, and unfailing love. In God's Will is his purpose, his plans for the future. His coming Kingdom and the reign of Jesus Christ. This is just a brief outline. To digest God's Will fully, one needs to earnestly study the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
However, in this short book we are going to deal with just one aspect of God's Will, what does God require from the individual before He rewards him with eternal life in the Kingdom?  God has a standard that all must reach and maintain. It is clearly laid down in scripture so there is no excuse for not knowing.
A good idea at this point would be to look at some verses which show that God's standards are not being attained, and by people who claim to be Christian. This is Jesus with a verbal warning: "Watch out for false prophets...by their fruit you will recognise them...Not everyone who says to me Lord-Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven but only he who does the will of my Father...Many will say to me on that day Lord-Lord, did we not prophecy in your name..  drive out demons, and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly I never knew you. Away from me you evildoers!  ( Mat 7:15-23.)
