26th June..28th October 2010.THE PATH TO LIFE.

You will show me the path that leads to life.  Psalm 16:11 In Gods hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.  Job 12:10

 Eternal Life Is Offered.

This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.  1 John 5:11-13

                                                    Gods Gift of Life.

 Death is inevitable.

Sin came into the world through one man, (Adam) and his sin brought death with it. As a result, death has spread to the whole human race because everyone has sinned.  Romans 5:12

 Eternal life is a gift.

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23

Jesus shared with us in life and death.

We see Jesus ... crowned with Glory and honour because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone ... He too shared in their humanity so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death --- that is the devil --- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Heb 2:9,14,15.

                                                          Powerful Life.

Jesus rose from the dead

On the first day of the week very early in the morning the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lighting stood beside them. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here he is risen!  Luke 24:1-6

The Apostle Paul wrote of Jesus Christ that he was declared with power to be the Son of God by His resurrection from the dead. Jesus Christ our lord.  Romans 1:4

                                                 Resurrection Life.

Death is not the end.

Jesus said: ` I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?  John 11:25,26

The Apostle Paul wrote; `Listen, I tell you a mystery...the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must cloth itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true; Death has been swallowed up in victory. "where O death, is your victory? Where , O death, is your sting? 1Cor 15:51.55

                                                 Facing the Future.

How can we face these things?

Jesus said to his followers: Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; Trust also in me ...I am going to prepare a place for you , I will come and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:1.3,6

The Apostle Paul wrote: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 3:35,37.39

                                                            Our Need for God

Even in the crisis of life the Christian can say to God:

I am always with you you hold me by the right hand. You guide me council and afterwards you will take me into glory. Whom have I in Heaven but you? And being with you I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever. Psalm 7 39,23-24

God so loved the world that he gave His one and only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3: 1-6

                                                       The God Who Cares.

The Lord is my shepherd , I shall lack nothing.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quite waters, he restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness for His names sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, your rod and your staff comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surly goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and i will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23
